THE BEACHES OF MALLORCA

Beside the diverse charms available to see, the main island activity is sunbathing on the beach. Mallorca has more than a hundred beaches from the finest sandy bays on the north-east to the rockier north-west seaside which is home to a string of cove beaches only accessible on foot or by boat. No matter if you want the hustle and bustle of the crowded, popular resorts with bars and banana riders or the pleasure of having your own little seafront for sport you will find your needs on Mallorca. Choosing our Mallorca holiday homes you will be close to all of these wonderful places.
Playa Alcudia is one of Mallorca's major beach resorts. It lays 40 km away from Palma and 45 km from Palma Airport. The beach is 8 km long with white sands, crystal clear water, having bars, cafés, shops and restaurants scattered all along the seaside. This seashore is well situated and waters are very shallow making it the ideal place for families with children. Further south, the beach is much more silent but the sea might be less calm. The Bay of Alcudia is very close to our holiday homes in Colonia de San Pere.

Playa de Palma At the height of the holiday season this 5 km long beach near the airport becomes extremely busy. Crowded with serious sun seekers, it is the favorite destination of young people looking for sunny days and lively nights. The place is also a fancy flirting place before the night-time party begins. Behind the beach a wide and pleasant boulevard follows the lines of the shore along with the sequence of bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. The beach bars are numbered and labeled in Castilian "balneario" and a mini-train runs through the resort. This place offers a variety of water sports and many leisure activities in the area. Night sleep is out of question here between June and August but our Mallorca holiday homes are located in peaceful areas providing comfort and relaxation.

Cala Major is one of Mallorca's earliest resorts; it lies along the stretch of coastline to the west of Palma's ferry port. It's a 250 meters long public beach with superb blue flag waters surrounded by hotels, villas and private buildings. At the east end of the resort you can see the palace of Marivent which belongs to the king of Spain. It is a popular destination because tourists need a minimal transfer time from the airport and has quick access to the island's main motorway.
Cala d'Or in the neighboring area of Porto Colom is a collection of eight coves with fine sandy bays, a place free of large scale tourism development and very popular with UK and Irish tourists using our apartments in Mallorca. The former humble fishing dock has been transformed into a stylish garden-green marina with pueblo style villas. A mini road train regularly runs between the different parts of the resort.

The resort of Magaluf on the south west coast of Mallorca is a vibrant and buzzing holiday destination known as the party capital of Mallorca. It is one of the biggest British tourist beaches mainly dominated by young people looking for a hot beach during the day and wicked party atmosphere by night. The nightlife is the main attraction and Magaluf deserves its reputation. You will find the best clubs, bars and discos the Mediterranean can offer. When darkness falls this place becomes a vibrant party hub lasting until the sun rises. The main clubbing area is from the town center to the hotel sector of Terranova and easily accessible from our apartments.

Paguera BeachJust 10 km west of Magaluf, Paguera beach is a very stylish resort with 3 strands all joined by a traffic-free promenade and a bay surrounded by pleasant pine forests. This place is extremely popular with holiday package tour operators and our customers looking for holiday homes in Spain. The Tramuntana Mountain is protecting the coast from the northern cold wind making this location a pleasant destination even during the winter season.

Es TrencEs Trenc is one of the most charming beaches in Mallorca and everyone’s favorite. It is the islands last natural seaside and a protected area. 4 km sandy beach lies as far as the eye can see. The natural beach is surrounded by agricultural land and no tourist development is allowed here. People enjoy the white sand, the crystal clear water and the nudist areas. You can easily reach Es Trenc from our holiday homes in Campos taking the road towards Colonia de Sant Jordi and turn to the right following the signs.
Cala Millor is the most popular and largest resort on the east coast of Mallorca. The first hotels began to appear in the 1930s but the real tourist invasion didn't start until the 1980s. Cala Milor has many beautiful beaches, the main beach is 1.8km long sheltered by mountainous headland curving around the bay. There's a wide range of water sport facilities including a windsurfing school. We offer you the chance to admire the beautiful seaside directly from our holiday homes in Cala Millor.
